Step into a world of transformation with master teacher Ricky Tran as he guides you through a vinyasa master class inspired by the legendary pose of eight bends, Ashtavakrasana.
The story of Ashtavakra, a sage born with his body bent in eight places, is a testament to the power of inner strength and wisdom. Cursed with a deformed body from birth, Ashtavakra transcended societal judgment and physical limitations to become one of the most revered teachers of spiritual liberation. His journey reminds us that true freedom lies not in external appearances but in realizing our inner potential and wisdom.
This workshop draws from the essence of Ashtavakra’s teachings, combining mythology with movement. Ricky will skillfully guide you to open your hips, strengthen your core, and twist your spine with precision. The class culminates in powerful hand-balancing poses, embodying strength, balance, and grace.
After the physical portion, the practice transitions into pranayama (yogic breathwork) to help you deepen your connection to your inner self. This will be followed by a period of stillness and quietude, inviting you to fully integrate the experience before concluding with an open Q&A session to address your questions and insights.
This master class welcomes all levels of practitioners. While prior yoga experience is helpful, a willingness to work hard and learn new things is all you need to participate. Modifications will be offered for everyone.
Expect to work hard and leave inspired, empowered, and with a renewed sense of freedom—both on and off the mat!
